Aftershock Q Camp

Moraviaag   -

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

Revelation 3.20

Jesus said

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not abide in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

JOHN 15.5-6, 8

At the heart of every true disciple’s relationship with Christ is a consistent lifestyle of time spent in the Word and in prayer. At a recent Aftershock, it became apparent that all of our teenagers struggle in knowing what it means to abide in Christ and how to have a daily and meaningful devotional time of communion with Christ.

We know that you want your teenagers to be committed followers of Christ and to be equipped to be an effective next generation of church leaders. To this end, we are planning a two week Q-Camp (“Q” representing “quiet” or devotional time) at the end of the school year. During these two weeks, we will learn how to spend meaningful time in Scripture and in prayer, how to experience the presence of Christ in worship and communion, how to live as a true disciple of Jesus.

We know that there are many summer activities and learning opportunities that are considered necessities for your teenager’s educational future. This will be a crucial investment in their eternal future. We are looking forward to having this time with each of them!
