2022 Week of Prayer

There are certain qualities that are indispensable for following Christ and being spiritually effective. Among these qualities are: surrender, sanctification, and selflessness. When we look at the parables of Jesus — almost half of which deal with money and material possessions — we see a direct link between these three qualities. We do not want Jesus to say to us what he spoke to the church at Sardis: “I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God” (Revelation 3.2). Throughout this week of prayer, let’s seek to bring our hearts, our priorities, and our lives into a place where Christ is truly Lord of all.
